- Currently, Liverpool are currently second in Premier League , and is 11 points ahead of 4th-placed Manchester United.

The Red Devils have also found a real defensive stability, and we must go back to January 15 to see a meeting with more than one goal conceded, during a trip to Birmingham to face Aston Villa (2 -2).
The Liverpool Reds are in much better shape, and nothing seems to be able to stop them. Even during the African Cup of Nations, when they were deprived of their two best elements (Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah, both finalists with Senegal and Egypt), they continued to win, despite a rather poorly supplied bench. Over the last 7 matches, the men of Jürgen Klopp have won them all, and have conceded only two small goals (against Crystal Palace in the league and against Cardiff in the FA Cup).
But the meetings between Liverpool and Manchester go beyond football, and even if they are not their respective derbies (against Everton and Manchester City), the two clubs and their supporters hate each other.
